WE ARE A REFLECTION OF THE MANAGER ...WE'RE HIS TEAM

YOU have to feel for Liam Kelly. As Rangers’ backup goalie, it's not really his job to try to explain why they're struggling to string six passes together.

- BY SCOTT McDERMOTT

So it can't have been easy. But Kelly has never been one to duck out of fronting up.

And what must have made it even more difficult for the Scotland cap is the fact that he’s a boyhood Rangers fan.

If he was in the Ibrox stands instead of the pitch he'd be having his say as well on Russell Martins predicament.

But hes actually living it, and suffering like supporters from the inside.

Probably more than anyone in the Rangers dressing-room, Kelly gets it.

He admitted himself at yesterday's press conference that he’s “raging” at how things are going for Martin's side.

But he takes one crumb of comfort. And it's the fact he sees how angry and disappointed the manager himself is. Kelly knows full agreement with what the supporters are saying.

“It's not like he’s saying we're playing well. We aren't and he knows that. And he’s absolutely desperate to fix it.
