VOGUE Williams has revealed how she turned to hypnotherapy to overcome her fear of cockroaches as she was voted out of the jungle.

The TV star revealed she sought help before the series after an ordeal in Spain when she spotted one in an ensuite bathroom then refused to sleep with husband Spencer Matthews in their bedroom for three nights.

The 40-year-old said: "I thought, 'This isn't right, I'm going to need to try to do something to not be so frightened of them'. I actually haven't really been that scared of them any more."

Vogue was sworn to secrecy about going on I'm A Celebrity so she could not tell the hypnotherapist too much. She said: "I was very careful and said 'insects' instead. She usually helps you give up things such as anxiety."

The procedure ended up being better suited for seeing the odd cockroach on the ground rather than having thousands of them poured over her head. She admitted: “Did it work? I don’t know. Am I glad I did it? Yes because maybe it gave me a slight edge.”
