Turbine copper is stolen

COPPER cables thought to be worth tens of thousands of pounds have been stolen from two wind farms in Aberdeenshire.

Police believe the thefts are linked and said a fairly large vehicle is likely to have been used.

The first break-in happened at Tullo, Easter Tulloch, between 11pm on Thursday and 4am on Friday when three wind turbines were forced open and copper cables taken.
