Tsunami warning after 7.4-magnitude quake in Philippines

THOUSANDS were forced to flee their coastal homes after a 7.4-magnitude earthquake triggered a tsunami alert.
At least two people died after the quake struck around 30 miles east of Manay in Davao Oriental province, Philippines, yesterday.
Schools and an airport were damaged, with experts warning of a “destructive tsunami”.
At least one aftershock, measuring 5.9 magnitude, also rocked the region.
Damage
Meanwhile, a 6.0-magnitude quake was reported off the coast of Papua New Guinea.
Tsunami warnings were also issued in Indonesia and Palau.
