President claims migrants and green energy are "killing the Western world'
DONALD Trump stunned delegates at the UN yesterday by railing against migration and renewable energy as forces "destroying a large part of the free world".
The US President, who was in New York for the 80th UN General Assembly, also slammed the lack of drilling for oil in the North Sea and claimed London's mayor wants Sharia Law in the capital.
Many of the world leaders in the audience were left clearly stunned by Mr Trump's rhetoric which even by his previous standards was remarkable.
Commenting on his opinion of the situation in the UK, he told the delegates: "Oh, the North Sea, I know it so well.
"They have tremendous oil left and more importantly, they have tremendous oil that hasn't been found there."
However, the President claimed that North Sea oil was "so highlytaxed that no developer, no oil company can go there".
Mr Trump said he had spoken to the Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer about North Sea oil during the President's recent UK state visit.
And he had warned him that a failure to continue to use and search for fossil fuels was a big mistake.
Mr Trump said: "They have given up their powerful edge, a lot of the countries that we are talking about, in oil and gas, such as essentially closing the great North Sea oil.
"The UK needs to open up the North Sea.
"Stop relying on Russian oil and start drilling again.
