Trio found guilty of culpable homicide in flats fall

THREE people have been convicted of killing a terrified man who jumped from a window in order to escape attempts to extort cash from him.

Stephen Stewart, Jennifer Souter and Victoria McGowan were yesterday all found guilty of the culpable homicide of Ryan Munro.

The 36-year-old died following the fall from a property in Morgan Street, Dundee.

The trio stood trial at the High Court in Edinburgh alongside Ramsay El Nakla, the brother-in-law of former First Minister Humza Yousaf.

The 37-year-old had been accused of participating in the extortion of Mr Munro alongside Stewart, 40-year-old Souter and McGowan, 43, along with other drugs charges.

However, Mr El Nakla was cleared of the allegations after prosecutors accepted his not guilty pleas.
