Hopefuls in clamour for Russ job

RANGERS managerial hopefuls have already made their interest known to club chiefs in anticipation of Russell Martin being sacked.

The official position of the Ibrox board is they are still backing Martin despite a nightmare start to his reign, which has seen the side plummet to 10th position in the Premiership table and get dumped out of the Champions League in qualifying.

But the hierarchy have been made aware of the availability of a number of wannabe successors if and when the axe falls on the beleaguered boss.
