BATTLING on to a holiday flight should soon get smoother with robots replacing humans in a £1million deal that could end airport strikes misery.
Teesside International Airport will begin shuttling passengers from terminals to aircraft steps on eight-seat Auto-Shuttles in mid-October.
That trial will be followed in January by the introduction of Auto-DollyTugs, driverless vehicles designed to move cargo and baggage around airports.
