Quango's £19m plot now worth just £8m

A SCOTTISH quango splashed out £19million on a derelict piece of land in Glasgow - that is now worth just £8m.
Scottish Enterprise owns the plot at 220 Broomielaw but has done nothing permanent with it, meaning it has continued to lie empty for years.
It has been used for temporary projects, including hosting delegates from the Cop26 gathering. A cabin was erected in the space and was lauded for being net zero but was packed up quickly following the climate summit in 2021 and moved to the Highlands.
