Probe into weight jab side effects

HUNDREDS of people have reported problems with their pancreas linked to taking weight loss and diabetes jabs, prompting health officials to launch a study into side effects.

Some pancreatitis cases possibly linked to GLP-1 medicines have been fatal.

The Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency, reports 181 cases of acute and chronic pancreatitis linked to tirzepatide the active ingredient in Mounjaro. Five people died.
