THE chief executive of NHS Fife is to take early retirement, with the announcement coming just days before the ruling in the Sandie Peggie tribunal.
Carol Potter is set to retire early
Carol Potter will be leaving the health board in the summer of 2026, having joined as interim chief executive in January 2020 and been formally appointed to the £145,000-a-year permanent role in September that year.
According to the latest NHS Fife accounts, Ms Potter's pension had a Cash Equivalent Transfer Value (CETV) of £1,338,000 at March 31, 2025, having had £103,000 paid into her pension last year. When she reaches pension age, she will be entitled to £55-£60,000 a year, as well as a lump sum of £150-£155,000.
