Mum calls for new Shoreham probe on 10th anniversary

THE former partner of a man killed in the Shoreham Airshow disaster is demanding a criminal investigation is reopened into the tragedy in which 11 people died.

Tanya Hewstone, 30, is set to launch a new petition calling for a fresh probe into the actions of pilot Andy Hill. He was severely injured in the crash and cleared of manslaughter after a trial in 2019.

Mr Hill was at the controls of a Hawker Hunter T7 jet that crashed on the A27 close to the boundary of Shoreham Airport in West Sussex 10 years ago today.

Tanya’s ex-partner Daniele Polito, 23, father of their son Georgio, 13, was among those killed as he was driving along the A27.
