SIR Chris married Sarra Kemp at St Giles' Cathedral, Edinburgh in 2010.

Although they are both from Edinburgh, they moved to Manchester to be closer to the Team GB cycling training facilities.

Sarra stepped back from her work as a senior personal injury lawyer ahead of the London 2012 Olympic Games.

At the time, Chris said: "Both our mums and dads, aunties and uncles and sisters are up in Edinburgh, so it's nice to come home and see everybody.

"One day I'm sure we'll come back home."
