OLIVER GLASNER insists he never threatened to quit over the potential deadline-day sale of Crystal Palace skipper Marc Guehi to Liverpool.

The England defender's Anfield move broke down at the 11th hour, but the Palace boss is adamant that claims he was ready to walk away if the deal went through are untrue.

Glasner (below) says he is sick of discussing the Reds’ failed bid for his lynchpin centre-back, but wanted to set the record straight for Eagles supporters.
