Man, 49, racially abused and assaulted in village

A MAN who was out walking down a quiet village street was attacked and racially abused by a car passenger, it has been revealed.

The hate incident occurred in a North Lanarkshire village and the victim needed hospital treatment afterwards.

Last Wednesday evening in Harthill, the 49-year-old man had been walking along Miller Street in the village, when a red Vauxhall Corsa stopped alongside him.
