Lottery win helps restore hospice gardens

A SCOTS gran has told of her pride and joy after watching a much-loved children's hospice garden blossom again - thanks in part to her People's Postcode Lottery win.

Aileen Suter, 65, toured the newly-restored gardens at Robin House, near Balloch, West Dunbartonshire, which was devastated by Storm Eowyn earlier this year.

Her visit came just seven months after she shared a £1million Postcode Lottery prize with neighbours on her street, which led to a £150,000 funding award for the hospice.

Walking through the flourishing grounds alongside hospice head gardener Maggie Brown, Aileen was visibly moved.
