BRITAIN’S hottest new sports craze is a giant surprise - sumo wrestling.

The number of clubs for supersized scufflers has shot up eight-fold in three years.

And it’s being fuelled by social media after scores of grappling videos went viral.

Organisers said interest in the traditional Japanese sport exploded after a Royal Albert Hall tournament in London last year featuring the biggest and best in the business. It was only the second time in its 1,500-year history the Grand Sumo event was held outside of Japan.
