JOCKEY Jack Kennedy is expected to be out of action for two more weeks but should return in time for Aintree’s Grand National next month.

KENNEDY BACK FOR AINTREE

The Irish champion of National Hunt racing struggled with an injury at last week’s Cheltenham Festival and had to forfeit several rides.

Kennedy was passed fit just in advance of the showpiece meeting and took 17 mounts after he recovered from a sixth leg break.

But it was a stop-start programme as the 25-year-old stood himself down midway through Wednesday’s Champion Chase card.

He later took another knock when Corbetts Cross suffered a fatal fall in the Gold Cup on Friday.
