Justice for loved ones of shooting victim as three men admit their crimes

THREE men involved in the broad daylight fatal shooting of a 44-year-old grandfather have all admitted their guilt.

John McGregor was gunned down on a north Glasgow street after being confronted by Malcolm McNee.

The victim, a father-of-five, was blasted at close range with a shotgun and died two days later in hospital.

He was shot dead on Westray Street in the city's Milton district after being chased by McNee.

Earlier this week, at the High Court in Glasgow, McNee, 61, admitted a charge of murder.

Torched

He also admitted a separate charge of attempting to pervert the course of justice.

That related to an incident hours after the killing, when a Vauxhall Corsa car, used by McNee to escape the scene was torched at Carbeth Huts in Blanefield, Stirlingshire.

Yesterday, his two co-accused appeared at the same court.
