Jake sues Hibernian

FORMER Hibernian midfielder Jake Doyle-Hayes has instigated legal action against the club over a training-ground tackle by former manager Lee Johnson.

The Irish midfielder, below, suffered an ankle injury in 2022 and struggled to shake off the aftereffects despite making a comeback.

The 26-year-old only played once between August 2023 and January 2025, when he left the club. He has since made 11 appearances with Sligo Rovers.

A hearing took place at the Court of Session in Edinburgh on Wednesday, which was listed as Jake Doyle Hayes v The Hibernian Football Club Limited.
