Is protein level rise linked to my acute myeloid leukaemia?

Amyloidosis is a group of rare conditions where abnormal protein deposits (known as amyloids) accumulate in tissues and organs throughout the body, such as the heart, kidneys, the nerves, especially in the arms and legs or the gut.

Symptoms depend on the organs affected, and can include tiredness, shortness of breath, pins and needles and easy bruising. These tend to be fairly constant, and like your own local GPs, I have never come across the term 'amyloid spells'.
