Another disappointing defeat leaves Scots ace Rory weary

- GRAEME MACPHERSON

Darge admits he’s sick of talking about failure after Saturday's defeat in Rome's Stadio Olimpico. It’s a result that leaves Gregor Townsend’s men up against it just one match into the competition.

But, with a rampant England heading to Murrayfield this coming Saturday, Darge says the Scots must find a quick fix or risk more disappointment.

The Glasgow back-rower said: “We are sick of having these conversations. “Italy were great and deserved the win and we need to really reflect on why that happened.

“There are parts of it that must be focus, there are parts of it that must be concentration. But it’s hard to really put your finger on it.

“That is the frustrating part about it - it’s happened more than once. We know, as players, we have to look at ourselves and can't let it happen again. We just have to be better.
