Hundreds of fish die as reservoir running dry
Scottish Daily Express
|August 22, 2025
A FISHERY says £30,000 worth of fish are expected to die within days after a Scottish reservoir dried up.
Ballo Reservoir in Fife has been left almost empty, with members of the Ballo Fly Fishing Syndicate warning their trout stock is now trapped in just 12 inches of water.
More than 100 dead fish have already been recovered from the reservoir, and anglers fear the rest of their fish will not survive the week.
