Horror blaze 'like something you'd see in the movies'

IMAGES have shown the shocking moment the walls of a town centre building collapsed during a massive blaze.

The fire began around 9.30pm on Monday in Kilmarnock, ripping through businesses on King Street.

Six fire engines attended the scene but there were thankfully no injuries.

Last night, police said they were treating the fire as deliberate.

Footage captured by Callum Wallace shows the moment walls of the burning building collapsed, as firefighters attempted to contain the blaze.

He said: "I had my drone with me and flew it up — and it was just chaos.

There were embers flying everywhere — the smoke was just billowing out.

"Just as I started recording, I saw the building just falling in.

"I've never seen anything like it — it was like something you'd see in movies.

"I've seen people in local Facebook groups saying they're out of a job now.
