Holyrood accused of £14m waste on asylum

JOHN SWINNEY has been accused of wasting taxpayers’ cash after setting aside £14.4 million to help asylum seekers settle in Scotland by knowing their rights.
The First Minister included the plan in his Programme for Government on Tuesday, along with a plan to draw up a paper on the supposed economic benefits of independence.
Scottish Tory leader Russell Findlay blasted both policies, while warning a vote for Reform could let in the SNP.
