Holiday Scot dies in Rome B&B blast

TRIBUTES have been paid to a Scot who has died from his injuries after a gas explosion destroyed a B&B in Rome.

Grant Paterson had been fighting for his life at the city's Sant'Eugenio Hospital following the horror blast at his holiday accommodation on Saturday, March 22.

The 54-year-old from East Kilbride suffered severe burns to 75% of his body and was said to be conscious when emergency crews pulled him from the rubble.
