Heating up for an April of blues skies and sun...

THE start of April will see Scotland warmer than Spanish holiday hotspot Benidorm and drier than many of the continent’s capitals.

The clocks go forward one hour tomorrow morning and the Met Office insist balmy weather will arrive for the official start to British Summer Time.

High pressure sitting to the east will see temperatures build day-on-day, peaking in the middle of next week.

Settled sunny weather is expected to arrive tomorrow, Mother’s Day, and the forecast is set to last until Thursday, April 10, at the earliest.

While Glasgow can expect 18C (64.4F) on Wednesday, tourist layout-Benidorm will be 1C cooler and it will be tipping down in Athens and Rome.
