GUNNERS HAVE THE AMMO TO PROGRESS

EDINBURGH coach Sean Everitt is confident his team have come on in leaps and bounds this season since they were hammered 55-21 by the Lions in a URC match back in the autumn.

That match was in Johannesburg, but the South Africans have been a lot less impressive on the road, and lost 42-0 to Glasgow in the league last week.

Even so, Everitt is taking nothing for granted as he prepares to welcome the South Africans to the Hive tonight for a Challenge Cup last-16 tie.

He said: “We’ve tightened up our game a bit. We’ve got good structure. We also know our attack’s improved.

“We’re scoring tries. We’ve accumulated a lot of bonus points in the URC. There has been all-round improvement.”
