Gray: I'd love to keep star Hoilett

DAVID GRAY has revealed that Hibs have begun contract talks aimed at keeping experienced forward Junior Hoilett.

The Canadian international will be a free agent this summer after only signing a 12-month deal in a switch from Aberdeen last August.

And Gray is keen to keep the 34-year-old at Easter Road as the Leith outfit prepare for the prospect of European football.

Former Blackburn Rovers and Cardiff City player Hoilett, above, has started 16 league games - including the last four matches - and chipped in with four goals.

Gray said: “He’s done brilliantly, not just in the last few weeks.

“We've always known his quality, we've seen that keep this level and this mindset into the next games. Hopefully there are still a lot of enjoyable moments.
