JIM GOODWIN hopes the January sales ease his injury situation as he looks to bring a fresh influx of players to Dundee United.

Several defensive players are set to miss tomorrow's trip to Aberdeen - including Ross Graham, Ryan Strain, lurie lovu and Krisztian Keresztes as well as the suspended Luca Stephenson - and the United manager (right) wants deals done quickly when the window opens in under a week's time.

Goodwin said: “That's the plan. We've identified areas we think we need to strengthen.

“We've had numerous injuries over the course of the campaign in pretty much every area of the team. So we need to make sure we're not leaving ourselves short coming out of the January window.
