FTSE surges on tech respite

THE FTSE 100 enjoyed a big rebound yesterday as it opened for the first time since Donald Trump announced a carve-out for tech imports to the US.

The London stock market rose by 170.16 points, or 2.14%, closing at 8,134.35.
