Keeper: I've had enough of Ibrox managers being axed

JACK BUTLAND is playing under his fourth different manager in just over two years at Rangers — and he’s had enough of it.
Michael Beale was sacked four months after he brought Butland to Ibrox, while his successor Philippe Clement was sacked in February this year before Barry Ferguson finished the campaign in charge.
With Ferguson failing to convince Ibrox chiefs to give him the job on a long-term basis, Russell Martin is now the man Butland calls “gaffer”.
And the former Scotland defender is already feeling the heat after Gers started the Premiership season with back-to-back 1-1 draws against Motherwell and Dundee.
Keeper Butland, speaking at the Doosan Arena ahead of tonight’s Champions League qualifier against Viktoria Plzen, is as frustrated as any supporter about their lack of domestic success.
And even though his side have taken a healthy 3-0 first-leg advantage to the Czech Republic, the 32-year-old knows the players can’t pull the wool over fans’ eyes for much longer by continuing to save their best for Europe.
But Butland, capped nine times by England, is adamant the club and their followers must show patience with Martin and give him time to get Gers on the right track again, on all fronts.
If they do that, he’s convinced they'll eventually get to where they want to be.
