Father and son meet for 55 minutes over tea after 19 months of estrangement

Father and son's February 2024 meeting lasted just 45 minutes and they have barely spoken since.

But while the feud played out in public, sources close to the King have repeatedly said the monarch is “a forgiving man who very much loves his son”.

The comments signalled that the door to reconciliation remained open and over recent months there have been signs that tensions are easing.
