Fans fly to Oasis' first Scots gigs in 16 years

IT took 5,896 days but finally, after more than 16 years, Oasis are back in Scotland.

Last night, the first of three gigs was staged in front of 70,000 fans from around the world at Murrayfield, with the Mancunian group playing again tonight and then on Tuesday.

Throughout yesterday the streets of Edinburgh, already packed for the Fringe Festival, were brimming with Oasis fans as they poured into the city. Many had travelled thousands of miles and spent large sums of money just to see Noel and Liam Gallagher perform.

Among them were Andrew Wadhams and Alicia Diaz, who flew from New York for last night’s show.
