Fall head over heels in autumnal Perthshire

Perfect time to get lost in tranquillity at 'best kept secret' of Murrayshall
-

Summer isn't quite done and dusted yet, and there could be some warm days still to come. But there is no getting away from the fact that autumn is not far away.
You can feel the nights drawing in, and within days the leaves will start to turn. You might think that means an end to your chance to explore Scotland for another year.
But nothing could be further from the truth. In fact, autumn might just be the best time to see Scotland in all her splendour.
And nowhere are those brilliant colours and subtle changes in light more beautiful than Perthshire. ‘Big Tree Country’ truly comes alive in September and October, as the landscape turns a magnificent cacophony of red, orange, yellow and brown.
Overlooking that brilliant Perthshire countryside sits Murrayshall Country Estate. Just a short drive from the centre of Perth, this still feels like another world, nestled among the trees with the views of the glens feeling like they go all the way to the west coast.
Exquisite
Described as Perthshire’s “best kept secret”, Murrayshall boasts 40 varied rooms and suites, fine and casual dining, two golf courses, and an array of activities across the sprawling estate.
For our stay, we had a 17-month-old girl for company, but, even then, it proved to be a tranquil few days.
