A DOUBLE killer is facing being deported back to Scotland after being detained by United States immigration officials.

Phillip Harkins, originally from Inverclyde, blasted a man to death with an assault rifle during a botched drug deal in Florida. He had moved to the US with his family aged 14.

In 1999, he gunned down Joshua Hayes, 22, during a drug deal in Jacksonville, Florida.
