Ex-leader: Bitter Nats orchestrated attack

THE former leader of Edinburgh City Council has claimed that his downfall was due to “bitter” SNP “orchestrating” an attack on him after he ousted them from power.

Cammy Day stepped down from his role in December after being accused of sending sexually inappropriate messages to Ukrainian refugees on a gay dating app.

Police Scotland launched a probe into his alleged behaviour which led to him being ostracised from the local authority. However, police have now declared the investigation is over and no misconduct was found.

Mr Day now hopes to get back into frontline politics and claimed that he had evidence that it was the disgruntled SNP in Edinburgh that were behind the plot, which he described as a “co-ordinated political attack”.
