Ex-councillor found guilty of stalking Tory Dame Penny

A FORMER councillor has been found guilty of stalking Dame Penny Mordaunt after a court heard he sent at least 17 emails and three phone messages to her, and turned up at her Portsmouth constituency office out of hours.
The ex-minister and onetime Tory Party leadership candidate feared Edward Brandt, 61, was a “real threat”, Southampton crown court heard.
Brandt, a former East Hampshire District councillor, also failed to comply with a conditional caution requiring him not to contact her.
