Emma hopes VIPs can help unlock star quality

EMMA RADUCANU admits she will be star spotting in the Royal Box when she returns to Centre Court to face a former Wimbledon champion today.

The British No.1 beat Welsh wild card Mimi Xu on No.1 Court in the first round, with her next opponent the 2023 SW19 winner Marketa Vondrousova.

Sir David Beckham was on Centre Court on Monday, before Hollywood stars Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett turned up yesterday.

And Raducanu will be checking to see who is watching her today as she bids to reach the third round - and set up a potential clash with world No.1 Aryna Sabalenka.

“Centre and No.1 in a way are visually quite similar, except the Royal Box at the back,” she said.
