Curry prepares for tough chats after sloppy opener

TOM CURRY has warned his Lions team-mates to prepare for some difficult chats as they face a race against time to get ready to take on Australia.

The flanker, a tourist to South Africa in 2021, started the 28-24 defeat by Argentina on Friday which left head coach Andy Farrell fuming, dubbing it “unacceptable”.

The starting team for that first warm-up game had one week in Portugal and one in Dublin to prepare, but they still produced a display full of fumbles and missed passes.

Farrell’s squad landed in Perth yesterday ahead of Saturday’s clash with Western Force, when they will hope to have fixed the teething problems with their attacking and defensive shapes against the Pumas.

Curry told the Lions not to hide behind the excuse of being unfamiliar with the systems, with the first Test against the Australians in Brisbane coming just three weeks after the Force game.
