PAULO BERNARDO'S eyes light up when the Celtic star thinks of last year's dramatic Scottish Cup final triumph.

- By Ryan McDonald

It's the 90th minute against Rangers, heading for extra time. The air of tension has paralysed both ends of the stadium as anxious diehards know the next goal will be the winner.

There's an audible gasp as Bernardo gallops 20 yards and unleashes a swerving shot that Jack Butland can only parry.

The ball falls perfectly into the path of Adam Idah, who must've felt like he'd won the lottery as he slams home the easiest of finishes - sparking bedlam in the Aitkenhead Road end of Hampden.

It was a defining moment for both loan players and Bernardo is convinced his own super sub role helped seal a £3.5million move to Parkhead last summer.

And with Reo Hatate crocked for this year's final, the 23-year-old hopes to be given the nod from the start today against Aberdeen.
