Brilliant Alcaraz leaves the crowd wanting more as poor Norrie is made to suffer after brave run

AFTER playing a delicious drop-shot in the fourth game of the third set, Cameron Norrie urged the Centre Court crowd to rev up their support for the British player.

Briefly, they did. But it was hard not to think that, for many, the main reason an extension of the match would have been nice is that they could have seen more of Carlos Alcaraz.

More of a player who is already a great at the age of 22.

More of a player who will surely accumulate the level of Grand Slam event titles posted by the triumvirate of Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafa Nadal.

More of a player who is thunderously talented in all departments.
