Bride comes before a fall for fickle families

WHAT is it about high-profile weddings that seems to bring out the worst in absolutely everyone these days?

First it was the utterly malevolent Sussexes, with Meghan excluding every family member except her mother, having rows with the Princess of Wales about bridesmaids tights and throwing her weight around about what tiara she wanted to wear.

Then there was the one I still do not understand, Brooklyn Beckham and Nicola Peltz. Apparently words were exchanged about who would design the wedding dress - surely they could rise above that?

Say what you like about the Beckhams, and I’m a fan, but they have always seemed to be exemplary parents. Both have managed huge careers while at the same time always putting their family at the centre of everything: it seems downright tragic Brooklyn's estranged from them all.
