Words are cheap as Barron is left to try to explain why his team are Euro basement boys

- BY SCOTT McDERMOTT

IT PROBABLY tells you all you need to know about this Rangers squad.

After they suffered yet another Euro embarrassment against Brann in Norway, youd have expected some of the club’s senior figures or expensive summer signings to hold their hands up to a woeful performance and unacceptable result.

Captain James Tavernier, to his credit, did just that. He rightly described their display in the 3-0 Europa League loss as disgraceful.

But the rest? Just like on the pitch, most went into hiding.

The only other player who fronted up to talk to the media was young Connor Barron.

You had to feel for him. Hed only been on the pitch in Bergen for 26 minutes as a substitute.

But it shows his character that he spoke up - even if he found it difficult to give answers on his team's wretched run.

Where was centre-back Nasser Djiga? A loan signing from Wolves who is earning a fortune in wages but can't defend a set-piece.
