Barney treads carefully after slip-up

PEOPLE'S champion Raymond van Barneveld has called for safer walk-on aisles after a heavy fall, warning: “One misstep and you can break your ankle.”

The five-time world champion landed flat on his back at the World Grand Prix in Leicester before his first-round defeat two months ago, when he stumbled over a gap in the flooring. Van Barneveld was unhurt, but wants the Professional Darts Corporation to review darts' equivalent of the red carpet.
