ROYAL Mail and Ofcom have come under fire for scrapping Saturday second-class deliveries and offering an alternate day service in the week.
The regulator had rubber-stamped the plans in January, claiming customers' needs would still be met.
The changes, which will save Royal Mail up to £425million a year, follow the £3.6billion takeover of its owner IDS by Czech billionaire Daniel Kretinsky's EP Group in June.
