KYLE ROWE grew up wanting to win the Champions League rather than the Champions Cup.

But the Glasgow Warriors back insists he couldn't be happier after ditching his football dreams for rugby ones.

Rowe was capped by Scotland as a schoolboy as a promising young central midfielder.

He made the call, though, to swap the round ball for the oval one while still at school.

Rowe reckons that's paid off with Warriors in the hunt for European and domestic glory this term.

And he's fired up for facing Leinster in the Champions Cup quarter-finals tomorrow.
