Customers urged to act now

Applications for the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP) opened. PECO encourages eligible customers to apply early for this federally funded program, which provides grants of up to $1,000 to help income-qualified households pay their energy bills. Assistance is available until funds run out and is distributed on a first-come, first-served basis.

"We understand that rising energy supply prices driven by increased demand and a limited electric supply are creating challenges for many families," said Kelly Colarelli, PECO's Vice President of Customer Operations. "While PECO does not control these supply costs, we are committed to helping our customers. Our priority is ensuring they have access to programs and resources that can provide meaningful relief, and we urge customers to apply for LIHEAP now while funding is available."
