Survè Philanthropies makes a difference on Mandela Day

AS PART of honouring the legacy of Nelson Mandela, Survé Philanthropies spent Mandela Day giving back to the communities of Athlone and Simon’s Town.

In Athlone, the staff and trainees of Athlone’s Training Workshop Unlimited, a project of Cape Mental Health, were treated to a warm meal and drink.

Training Workshops Unlimited provides skills and employment training to empower persons with intellectual disability to achieve their fullest potential.

Madiga Ryklief, speaking for Survé Philanthropies, said they chose to work with Training Workshop Unlimited as many in the area are poverty-stricken, and disabled people are left on the periphery of society.
