Runcorn Weekly News
|April 17, 2025
A RESTAURANT has shared CCTV footage of what they believe shows a 'scam' in motion by a table of customers.
San Marino Italian bar and restaurant shared the footage on their public business Facebook page after an alleged incident on Friday, April 4.
In the footage two women and a man can be seen sat at a table at the Widnes restaurant. At one point in the video the man, who is wearing a pink coloured top, can be seen reaching into his back pocket before he then appears to pass something to the woman opposite him, who places it into a napkin.
The footage then appears to show the woman, who can be seen looking around the restaurant beforehand, putting food from her plate into the napkin before calling to a passing waitress who comes over.
